—The New York Jets dropped another hint that are leading some to conclude the Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota will be targeted by the green and white.
Its been no real big secret that the Jets are interested in Mariota, the question remains is will he be available at No. 6 overall?
Some experts believe Tennessee would take Mariota at No. 2 overall. That’s where Sports Illustrated puts Mariota in its latest mock.
Meanwhile, Jets General manager Mike Maccagan said on a conference call with season ticket holders this week that the team would be willing to move their 6th overall pick to move up in the draft.
Meanwhile on the same call, Jets head coach Todd Bowles said they would like to add competition at the quarterback position to challenge Geno Smith and Matt Simms.
The Jets currently hold the 6th pick in the NFL Draft but may need to move up to snag Mariota. Who is ranked in the Top 10 of all NFL prospects by most experts but could go earlier than six.
